It is always a very busy place.

The entrance to the Kings and Queens baths.

The Abbey Churchyard and the Abbey.

There is nearly always some entertainment in the churchyard. This chap had made a machine to play a guitar to accompany him on the violin.

In this quadrangle next to the Abbey two musicians were entertaining the seated tourists and visitors.

All around the town were pigs decorated with a variety of designs. This one with its 1’s and 0’s was called “Pigabyte”. Follow this link for more information on the King Bladud’s pigs of Bath.

The writing on the wall above this shop shows its former function. The smaller writing between the lower windows reads “Bookseller, binder and stationers” and “State Lottery Office”. I did not realise we had a lottery before our current lottery. However, I have now learned that our first state lottery draw was held on 18 Oct 1826.

Still plenty of people gathered outside the pump rooms.

This final shot from the bottom of Stall Street shows the new Southgate Shopping centre under construction. The stonework has been chosen to match the Georgian style of the other buildings in the city.
