A walk up Sherborne hill and into Honeycombe Woods after the snow we had earlier in the week. The best shots would have been earlier in the week but this was my first chance to get out with my camera.
Limekiln Farm and Sherborne from Dancing Hill.
A closer look. The Trent footpath can be seen crossing the fields.
Nearly at the top of the hill.
This view is from the Beer Hacket road looking south towards Leweston Farm.
The view south to Leweston and beyond.
A sign of spring. The first Celandine.
A bit of green amongst all the snow.
A couple of abstracts. Patterns in the ice at the side of the lane.
Orange Jelly Fungus on an old tree.
A track through Honeycombe woods.
The slopes below Honeycombe woods.
Walking back along the track from the toll house at the top of Sherborne Hill. I did not quite capture the light in the trees as I remember it.
Another sign of spring. A nettle in flower.
Back in Sherborne. The bandstand and the Abbey from the Station.
