29 August 2007 - Barnstaple and the Tarka Trail

Our first visit to cycle part of the Tarka Trail from Instow to Braunton via Barnstaple.The route follows the banks of the Taw estuary.

We parked at Instow and started our ride here. The trail follows the old railway line.

We took the longer route through Barnstaple rather than cross the new bridge. This is the old town bridge.

The return journey. This time we took the new bridge over the Taw at Barnstaple. This shot of Barnstaple was taken from the new bridge.
