This roughly 3 mile section of the Trailway was officially opened in May 2013.
These pictures were taken during an exploratory walk along the new section.

Walking up Damory Court Street in Blandford to the start of this new section. I would imagine this red brick property was here when the railway was operating at its height. I also wonder if the large white building was once a hotel next to the station.

Turning left off Damory Court Street you cross a car park and approach the start of the Trailway. The house on the right must have been connected with the railway at one time.

Setting off along the route of the old railway tracks.

The first tunnel you reach is lined above with red bricks.

The bricks have been stained with soot from all the steam trains passing through over 50 years ago.

Leaving Blandford and heading out into the countryside.
