Another leg of our Dorset Coastal Path walk.
Bowleaze Cove. The start of today’s walk east towards Osmington Mills.
Osmington White Horse.
For this part of the walk an inland diversion was required due to coastal erosion and landslips.
From this spot at Broadrock the extent of the landslips can be seen.
A broader view of Weymouth Bay and Preston.
The coast heading east to Whitenothe past Osmington Mills and Ringstead Bay.
Leaving Redcliffe Point. There was a crack starting just behind this mud slope so I expect another slip will occur soon!
More evidence of coastal erosion and landslip in this view towards Osmington Mills and the adventure camp.
Black Head in the middle distance.
The large headland is Whitnothe and Frenchman’s Ledge is the lower closer headland.
This is about it for today. Progress was slow due to wet soggy mud on the paths. Black Head Ledges are visible in the shallow water.
Exploring the beach below Black Head.
