This stand fascinated me. A traditional woodsman.
Demonstrating making tent pegs.
Making Besom Brooms. We bought one.
Live entertainment plus cider and beer. A very pleasant way to relax whilst eating the fresh bread we bought for our lunch. Locally made wholemeal topped with Dorset Blue Vinney cheese! Washed down with some real ale.
One of the stands had a display of birds of prey that had been rescued. This is a young Barn Owl.
After lunch we wandered down to the river. A Comma butterfly.
The 2009 Cheese Festival
12 September 2007 - A return visit for us to this popular event. It was nice to see fine weather for the festival this year following last years cancellation due to a waterlogged field.
As usual it was very busy inside the main marquee. This cheese was rather nice.
There seemed to be more people here this year than on our previous visit.
The 2010 Cheese Festival

Morris dancers entertaining the crowds.
Westcombe cheddar. We bought some of this. It is really good, well recommended.
