The village church of St. Mary the Virgin. The church has recently celebrated it’s 700th year. The church has been altered over the years. The end wall shows the outline of an earlier phase.
The bells were restored to celebrate the new millennium. Sadly the churchyard contains the grave of a local young man who was a victim of the tsunami in Thailand on 26 Dec 2004.

A return visit to this church to take some pictures inside.
The church is dedicated to St Mary the virgin. The church registers date from 1678.
In this end view the traces of an earlier phase with a steeper roof can be seen. This must have been before the crenellated parapets were added.
