A visit to the beach at Crosby to see Anthony Gormley’s “Another place” life size statues.
We started at the Waterloo end of the beach. The tide was well out so not many figures under water.
This statue clearly gets fully covered at high tide.
Across Liverpool bay to the mountains of north Wales.
There are 100 of these statutes over a three kilometers of beach.
Each figure weighs about 650Kg. This figure is sinking into the sand!
The Marine Lake at Waterloo.
A couple of shots from the beach north of Crosby near the coastguard centre.
We will have to make another visit when the tide is in to get some different pictures.
