Kimmeridge Dorset Dorsetcamera

Kimmeridge is a small village and civil parish situated about 5 miles west of Swanage. On the cliff west of the village is the Perenco "nodding donkey" oil pump which has been pumping continually since the late 1950s, making it the oldest working oil pump in the UK. The well currently yields around 65 barrels per day from the Middle Jurassic strata that lie around 1,150 feet below the cliff.

I have put together two galleries of photographs from Kimmeridge. The first and oldest gallery contains pictures taken along the section of the Dorset Coast path we walked in 2007 as part of our treck along the entire Dorset coast.
