The hamlet of Knowlton lies about 7 miles north of Wimborne Minster in east Dorset. It is famous for the derelict 12th century Norman church which is in the centre of a Neolithic henge monument.

June 2015 - Our visit was a recce to explore the site with a view to coming back at sunrise or sunset to get some atmospheric photographs during the golden hour.

June 2015 - The southern aspect of the church. The site is well worth a visit. I have lived in Dorset for a long time and this was my first visit! However, I will be back with my camera.
