Swyre Head

Swyre Head is the highest point of the Purbeck Hills and the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset. The hill Swyre Head lies about 1 mile southwest of the village Kingston and about 3 miles south of Corfe Castle .
The hill commands extensive views, including west past the Isle of Portland to Dartmoor, and east to the Isle of Wight, as well as north across the Purbeck Hills to Poole Harbour. To the west, the folly of Clavell Tower can also be seen.

These photographs were taken on an extremely cold February afternoon at sunset in 2018.

The sun has now set but sadly there is no dramatic sunset. Oh well next time perhaps!

19 April 2018 - A return visit for a dawn shoot. This is the best of the shots taken. It is a pity there was not a better sky. That will have to be another day.
